DESCRIPTION

Physicians – Emergency Medicine trends targets medical professionals who treat conditions that threaten life or limb or have a high risk of mortality.

This group allows you to target highly intelligent, ambitious, well-educated healthcare professionals who are dedicated to the care and well-being of others.  This target group has received their doctorate degree and completed an internship and residency program.  Continuing education is essential for doctors to keep up with medical advances and license requirements.  Not only do they attend classes, workshops, conventions, and seminars, docs also read journals, articles, magazines, and publication to stay current with emergency medical advances.

ER docs spend their shift in a fast paced environment, encountering all types of patients, illnesses, and injuries.  The emergency room physician treats heart attacks, broken bones, severe illnesses (allergic reactions, flu, pneumonia, strep throat, food poisoning), pregnancy complications, and lacerations.  They enjoy the uniqueness of their field, and they typically see a large number of patients during a shift.  Working conditions, especially in large cities, are not always safe as they deal with the public at large; they need to constantly be aware of their surroundings.

The DO requires proper tools to care for a patient.  Common tools of the trade are stethoscopes, otoscopes, opthalmoscopes, bag valve mask, crash carts, defibrillators, blood pressure devices, thermometers, prescription pads, face shields, safety goggles, scales, gloves, needles, medications, airway tubes, bandages, gauze, wound dressing, antiseptics, sutures, and medical and office furniture.  The MD needs disposable systems and services for biological and hazardous waste.

An emergency doctor can work in a hospital emergency room or an urgent care clinic.  They are assisted by nurses and administrators.  The MD prescribes medication to their patients, so they work closely with pharmacists and local pharmacies.  Their patients are admitted to the hospital or released to follow-up with their primary care physician, so they also interact with specialists and PCPs.

Medical professionals are concerned about their physical fitness.  A doctor typically maintains a healthy lifestyle.  They eat right, exercise, and take vitamin supplements.  They may shop at a health food store to ensure they are getting the proper nutrients.  The MD may have a gym membership, run, or bike.  They may take martial arts, yoga, spin, Zumba or other exercise classes.

Stress levels in the medical profession are often high due to the long hours and irregular and on-call shifts.  These factors may also cause stress for their family.  Consequently, they search for hobbies to help reduce their stress level, and they strive to balance work and home demands.  They hire out many of the home chores such as yard work, home maintenance, car maintenance, cleaning, banking, grocery shopping, and other personal errands.

Many in this group graduate with high debt load due to student loans, so at the beginning of their career, they may need a budget or money management system.  MDs are a highly compensated group, so as their career progresses, they tend to have discretionary income.  They can then purchase luxury homes, vehicles, vacations, and other toys such as RVs, ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and high-end electronics.  They manage their personal financial portfolio and enjoying investing.  They and their families wear designer clothing.  They live in suburbs or gated communities, and their children often attend private school.

This list is ideal for any medical related publication, catalog, continuing education, or seminar offers.
