DESCRIPTION

Selling Trends enables you to reach C-Level, VP Level, Director Level, and Manager Level sales executives in a variety of industries who set monthly sales goals, manage sales staff, and hold other sales team members accountable for their goals.   Sales executives are in charge of strategic planning, analyzing marketing trends, and determining new market segments and business growth potential.

Sales executives are often responsible for the direct management of a sales force, which include sales strategy planning, determining territorial sales quotas, training a sales force, and tracking sales trends.  Sales executives also are often responsible to service “house accounts” who are important customers of long standing with their organization.

Successful sales executives have learned the fundamentals of face to face sales, over the phone sales, how to identify and maximize sales opportunities and develop long-term relationship within target accounts, increase profit margins, and develop effective negotiation skills.

Sales professionals often work closely with their marketing and public relations units. They work hand in hand to generate the most positive exposure and the highest level of business possible for their advertising dollars spent.  They work together to develop programs to properly market their product or service, determine pricing, create sales promotions, and place ads in various media channels.

The majority of these sales executives have at least a bachelor’s degree in business management or administration. To stay current in their field many take advantage of continuing education opportunities in sales, marketing, and courses specific to the industries they work.

Generating sales often involves domestic and international travel for face to face meetings and attend trade shows.  Some companies have cut back their travel budgets, and as a result salespeople are relying on online conferencing tools.  They are typically responsible for investigating and purchasing CRM software and purchase sales leads to develop new prospects and to keep in touch with current ones.
