DESCRIPTION

Human Resources and Personnel Directors from Hospital Trends targets hospital administrators responsible for implementing strategies and policies relating to employee management and keeping the organization compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, rules, and regulations. 

These officers work with management to develop organizational and employee development programs.  They create a unique and sustainable competitive 'people' advantage for the hospital by promoting the company image and establishing a well-defined, cohesive recruiting program.  They design benefit programs, review practices, pay grades, and employee relations programs.  Labor expense management efforts which balance budget and staffing needs are crucial. 

These administrators are employed by hospitals that are local, state, federal, church, military or corporately owned. The officer’s daily activities vary greatly based on bed size, number of patients they care for and whether the institution is a long term acute care, physical rehabilitation, psychiatric, children’s, or general medical/surgical hospital. HR executives rely on continuing education programs, learning new managerial skills and techniques, attending trade shows, and reading business journals to stay current in their field.
