These sole-proprietors have experience working in the automotive industry, electrical, technology, woodworking, and general repair of goods. They learn their trade by schooling, hands-on training, and/or local community courses. They have the knowledge and experience to repair and fix a wide variety of household, personal, automotive and other items.
Repair shop and related service owners and operators use websites, catalogs, supply chain representatives, automotive, hardware, electrical, lighting, local hardware stores, and home centers to purchase materials needed for their trade. A variety of tools such as; hammers, pliers, metal cutters, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, solder guns, glue guns, nail guns, and staple guns. They also purchase hardware, automotive parts and supplies, and electrical parts and supplies. They stock their establishments with cleaning supplies, shop rags and paper towels.
