Executive Directory of Choir Directors and Music Directors reaches men and women in religious organizations who direct the choir and music both in practice and live performances.

Choir directors work hard choosing the perfect musical selections for church services, funerals, weddings, and other religious events. They choose music for the choir to sing, as well as songs or hymnals for the congregation to sing. The choir director may also hold auditions for seats in the choir, solo performances and even musicians for musical accompaniment. Choir directors may be known as youth music coordinators, children’s choir directors, treble choir directors, cherub choir director, harmony and praise handbell choir director, or directory of choral and instrumental music. Choir and music directors may work full time or part time.

Choir Directors and Music directors have several administrative duties as well. They are responsible for attending budget meetings and planning meetings to make appropriate music choice for upcoming events and holidays.  They are also responsible for staying within their budget set by the church members. Directors may spend their budget on sheet music, instruments, choir robes, and sound equipment.
