DESCRIPTION

Architect Trends enables you to reach building professionals who plan, design, and oversee the construction of buildings in urban, suburban, and rural areas. 

This target is well-educated and has a large base of technical, scientific, and structural knowledge.  A bachelor’s degree is required; many earn a master’s degree.  All must pass an exam to obtain their license.  They join professional organizations, and read online and offline trade publications, and journals.  Business travel to meet with clients, supervise a project, or attend trade shows, conferences, workshops, conventions, meetings, or seminars is common.  Architects work in private practice or in a firm or group setting.  When they reach the level of partner, they have management responsibility requiring a good understanding of business.       

When planning a building, this group is concerned with the structure’s aesthetics, ease of use, and safety.  Architects design homes, schools, shopping centers, office buildings, fire and police stations, sports stadiums, arenas, airports, churches and more.  They must stay current and abide by local and federal building regulations and codes, planning and zoning laws.  They must be knowledgeable about the setbacks, height limitations, and parking requirements of the area.  Throughout the project, architects work in partnership with engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors.
